Hero Reflection

Hero Reflection
A hero is someone that changes the life of another person through there actions. Someone that helps make there community/world a better place for everybody.

The hero project got me to think what a hero really was and who qualifies to be a hero. The first thing that poped into my head when I heard the word hero I thought, "Super Hero." But no thats not the type of hero I wanted. This project was meant to change our perspective on heros and to broaden our thinking process of what a hero really is.

We started out naming Super Heros. And gradually went into people living on the earth right now that could be heroic. So we brainstormed different heros in our eyes. I ended up doing my mom because she is the ultimate hero. We went through the process of drafting. We rote our 1st draft and had a pier review with the other classes. Then went home and rote the 2nd draft. Brought that in and got it corrected by Charlotte (our amazing teacher). It was hard thinking how much she would have to say but I turned out okay. I made a final draft, marked all my corrections and turned it in for final revisions. I turned it into a template, made it look really good and then put it on my DP.

I learned a lot about my mom and got to go into deep and personal questions with her. There were a couple of different problems. Like formating my document and adding really descriptive language but over all it was good. If I were to do this again I would change a few questions and make the story more focused on the one heroic moment. I would try to put more detail and go into deeper thought to make the story more emotional and fun. It will make me think more and go into more thought about my subject. It broadened my learning process from a 6 to a 9 and made it so I could wright better and more interesting.

I picked wonder because in my story I wondered alot about how she would answer the questions and wondered why she used some answers because they seemed a little wierd.

Angry Sam

Literary Device
Catching the signal from one of her friends, Angela brushed her skirt, took a deep breath and walked towards where he was sitting.

“Hey what’s up?” Angela said in a high-pitched voice, thinking to herself, ‘He looked like a rock just waiting to be picked up and thrown down river.’

“Nothing really, my mom is late picking me up and I have soccer in ten minutes.” Sam mumbled growing madder every second. “Please go away. I am not in the best mood right now and I just want to be alone.”

“Alright then jeez! Someone is not a very happy camper.” She yelled as she stomped away. She thought to herself. ‘His face was a big dark moon giving off no light or happiness.’ Angela walked back over to her friends and said, “That bowl of gunk over there is in the worst mood ever, what happened to his today?”

“Well his mom and dad have been fighting lately and he doesn’t know what’s going to happen.” Jadon announced to everybody sitting around him.

Now felling a little sad I walked over to him said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know what you have been going through and I want you to forgive me.” Knowing the answer I started walking away when he said.

“I sorry too, I didn’t need to take my anger out on you.”

“Ya think, I mean yes probably. But I forgive you.” She said calmly sitting down next to him, as her face became a tomato.

“Thank you!” He said as they walked down to Sam’s mom’s car.

SENSORY DETAIL SOUND

I walk into the gym. Shoes squeaking softly, echoing throughout the whole building. People talking in the distance. Hearing onloy there breath. It gets louder and louder. I could here something that sounded like a tennis ball being hit. Every so often there would be a tennis ball being hit, squeaking shoes get softer and softer. Then, it goes and starts over. Shoes squeak. Ball gets hit. But wait it is different. Its now soft and calm. Shoes squeak, Ball being hit. Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh. Now it sounded calm, very happy and active. Then out of nowhere it everything just stopped. And I went on thinking what that sound really was.

Locker Problem

There are 31 perfect squares that are open. I got 31 by taking the highest number I could get and multiply it by it’s self to get closest to 1000 and 31 was the highest. The 31 perfect squares were open because the states of them were all changed an odd number of times. They perfect squares all have odd factors, because 16=1,2,4,8,16.

SLOB Deleted Scene

I woke up thinking what I will do today. I looked over at the calendar and saw that it was Sunday.  I got up and started working on my lesson for church. I went outside, that’s were I usually go to think. I started to write down ideas when I saw these to strange figures walking up the dirt path. One was big and black who looked like she just got back from war, and the other was a young scrawny white girl. They walked up to me.

“Hello I am lily and this is Rosaleen,” said the little one. “Nice to meet you, I am August.” “Where are you guys going?” Lily answered saying, “ we don’t really know.” I thought to myself, why they would be out here and not know where they are going. “Are you guys hungry?” “Yes” they said swiftly. She took them to her house. They had toast and honey. “Wow this honey is really good” Said lily, after her third piece. “Yeah I harvest my own honey.” “That must be pretty hard to take care of,” said lily. “Its not so bad, I have two other sisters that help out.”

They started to leave when I thought to myself how they would survive so I told them, “whenever you need somewhere to stay just come knocking on my door and I will be there.” “Thanks,” said lily. “Yeah Thanks” Rosaleen mimicked. After they left I went outside and finished preparing my lesson.

Favorite Fictional Hero

My favorite fictional hero is Spider Man from the movie Spider Man 1, 2, and 3. Spider Man is a character that got bitten by a spider and got spider senses.

He is one of my heros for two reasons. The first one is he goes around protecting people from danger. The second one, is in the third movie when he becomes overcome by a bad spirit, and he walks with the bad spirit for a while because it makes him feel more powerful. He finally realizes that it makes him weaker so he overcomes the bad spirit and becomes good again.

This hero is special because it tells a story about everyday life. This hero is like us in life we all start out good and in our life we choose to choose good choices or bad. Spider Man started good and then he felt like being bad made him better and more powerful. We are all exposed to bad things today, and we can let it overcome us or not.

What is Math, What is Physics

You can find math in a lot of different places. In a classroom, in stores, in jobs, and many different places. People use math when building houses, building cars, using computers, and anything technical. Math looks like this. most people in the world use math, engineers, architects, designers, and if I listed all of them it would take forever so there are a couple.

Mostly everything in the world involves physics. A lot of people use physics in there everyday life, some of them are, rocket scientists, students, engineers that design cars, engines, motors, soccer players and many more. Yes I think we are doing physics, in class and out of class, to me physics can be anything and is very interesting.
