Locker Problem

There are 31 perfect squares that are open. I got 31 by taking the highest number I could get and multiply it by it’s self to get closest to 1000 and 31 was the highest. The 31 perfect squares were open because the states of them were all changed an odd number of times. They perfect squares all have odd factors, because 16=1,2,4,8,16.

Locker Numbers:

  1. The reason the open lockers were hit an odd number of times was because they are the perfect square numbers were the only ones that included an equation like 2x2 which only counts as one factor because it is the same number. Hope that helps!
